The Grenache for this Rosé comes from a small block in the Nielson vineyard and produces a bright and lively wine with red fruit aromas of strawberry and watermelon and refreshing juiciness and acidity.
100% Rosé of Grenache
11 months in neutral French oak
Whole cluster lightly pressed Grenache. Native ferment in older barrels as well. There's a spice component in the wine that comes from the Grenache grape that is very intriguing. Balanced with a floral nose.
The Santa Maria Valley – of Santa Barbara County – is one of California’s coolest AVAs, with one of the longest growing seasons in the world. The region is defined by its well-drained, lean soils and the unique east/west transverse mountain ranges that act as a funnel for morning fog and cold afternoon winds off the Pacific Ocean, resulting in balanced, vibrant wines.
